Steelers Bengals Betting Predictions – Bengals, Steelers Each Looking To Rebound In Clash Of AFC North Rivals
The Cincinnati Bengals have fallen back down to .500 following a couple of close losses in games that they were favored to win. It isn’t about to get any easier for the Bengals this week either, with the AFC North rival Pittsburgh Steelers in town for another rivalry game. Cincinnati managed to clinch a playoff spot last year despite dropping all four of its games against the Steelers and Baltimore Ravens, but after a 3-3 start that is much less likely to happen this season, especially with a more difficult sports betting schedule.

NFL Betting Line: Pittsburgh Steelers – 2.5
For the Steelers, this game is about playing with urgency and executing after coming up short in a 26-23 loss to the Tennessee Titans on Thursday Night Football. Pittsburgh has already dropped a pair of winnable games at Oakland and Tennessee, increasing the urgency for them to get their first road victory of the season.
NFL Betting Preview: Pittsburgh Steelers
The loss of safety Troy Polamalu and linebacker Lamarr Woodley certainly didn’t help the Steelers’ chances in a close loss to the Titans, but at the same time that is no excuse for getting bullied for a third-straight road loss. Once again, Pittsburgh’s offense struggled to get its ground game going with running back Rashard Mendenhall held to just six rushing yards on six attempts, while its defense gave up 91 yards to the struggling Chris Johnson. With the rushing attack stalled, the Steelers continue to put too much of an emphasis on Ben Roethlisberger and the passing attack, allowing opposing defenses to key in on him. A balanced attack will be among the keys to winning this game, but Pittsburgh will also have to be much better on defense as well.
NFL Betting Preview: Cincinnati Bengals
Consecutive losses to the Miami Dolphins and Cleveland Browns wasn’t exactly what head coach Marvin Lewis had in mind for a two-game stretch that over which the Bengals could have improved to 5-1, but are instead now 3-3. Quarterback Andy Dalton threw for 381 yards and three touchdowns against the Browns, but he was also picked off three times including one for the game-clinching score in the fourth quarter. Similar to the Steelers, the Cincinnati offense has struggled to move the ball on the ground and that has led to opposing defenses keying in on Dalton. Making matters worse is the Bengals’ defense failing to stop the run in key situations, particularly in the second half as it wears down.
NFL Betting Preview: Outlook & Pick
For as good as the home underdogs have been this season, Cincinnati is not playing good football and did not have any success against the Steelers last season. Both online sportsbook teams will approach this game with a ton of urgency, and in this case it only makes sense to go with the more talented and experienced roster.
