Steelers Broncos Betting – Steelers Look To Silence Tebow, Broncos In Wild Card Round
In a year in which the Green Bay Packers flirted with perfection, the quarterback of the New Orleans Saints broke a seemingly untouchable record, and three teams from the AFC North qualified for the postseason, the story since the midway mark has been Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos, for both the good and bad reasons. The Broncos will host the defending AFC champion Pittsburgh Steelers this Sunday in the Wild Card round, and on the heels of three straight losses, everybody will be waiting to see what happens next in Denver as big sportsbook underdogs.

The fact that the Broncos weren’t able to win even one of their final three has really taken away from the aura surrounding the team in recent weeks, especially considering their final two losses came against teams with sub-.500 records. It won’t get any easier for Denver this week when they play the Steelers, who will be eager to make a statement.
Steelers Broncos Betting Preview: Pittsburgh Steelers
An injury to quarterback Ben Roethlisberger arguably prevented the Steelers from locking up top spot in the AFC North and home field advantage, and now they will have to travel to the Mile High to play a team that they probably don’t consider to be in the same class. Tebow and the Broncos have done an excellent job of moving the ball on the ground this season, but Pittsburgh’s top-ranked rush defense should feel confident handling that. Meanwhile, as long as an injured ankle doesn’t prevent him from shifting around in the pocket Roethlisberger should be fine, and running back Rashard Mendenhall should see a ton of touches to keep them off his back.
Steelers Broncos Betting Preview: Denver Broncos
From 8-5 to 8-8 and barely clinching a playoff spot, the Broncos are going to have to find a way to move the ball against the No. 1 ranked run defense in the Steelers, which won’t be an easy task. Denver tried to move the ball through the air against both Buffalo and Kansas City, and the results were devastating as Tebow threw just one touchdown compared to four interceptions, and just 245 total yards. Part of that is the fact that the Broncos’ offense lacks many big play threats, but at the end of the day Tebow simply needs to be better. Despite the talk otherwise, Denver’s defense actually ranks in the bottom-third of the league against both the run and pass, so don’t look for many statements in that regard.
Steelers Broncos Betting Preview: Outlook & Pick
For as great of a story as the broncos have been all year, they enter this game as eight-point sports betting underdogs, and that number could probably be even higher. The Steelers will shut down the Denver running game and that will expose Tebow, the first stop on what could be another extended playoff run for a talented Steelers’ team.Steelers Broncos Betting Pick: Pittsburgh Steelers
