Tips For Betting On Broncos Chargers – Broncos, Chargers Look To Get Back On Track
The San Diego Chargers proved with a 3-1 start to the sports betting season that they can win in September under head coach Norv Turner. After dropping to 3-2 with a close loss to the New Orleans Saints on Sunday Night Football this past week, the Chargers will have to prove they can keep on winning in October as they welcome the rival Denver Broncos to town for another Primetime game. Phillip Rivers and company are currently one game up on Peyton Manning and Denver in the AFC West through five weeks of the NFL season, and would like to extend that lead at home heading in to the their bye the following week.

NFL Betting Preview: San Diego Chargers -2
The Broncos have struggled to get started on the road this season, conceding double-digit leads to the Atlanta Falcons and New England Patriots early on and failing to climb all the way back in those losses. Manning has taken his share of the blame for the performance of the offense so far, and will look to avoid another slow start this week.
NFL Betting Preview: Denver Broncos
Manning has thrown for over 330 passing yards in three-straight games with eight touchdowns compared to zero interceptions, but despite the incredible numbers the Broncos still feel as through improvements are possible. San Diego will provide a tougher challenge defensively than the Patriots or Oakland Raiders, and getting the passing game going early on could be the key to a win. Defensively, Denver has allowed 27 points or more in three losses compared to just 25 points combined in its two wins, so limiting what Rivers and the San Diego offense can do will be important, especially through the first two quarters.
NFL Betting Preview: San Diego Chargers
Rivers certainly wasn’t to blame for Sunday’s loss to the Saints, in which he registered his most productive week of the season with 354 passing yards and two touchdowns. An inconsistent running game has made it tougher on Rivers and the Chargers’ offense, which will once again push the short passing game as a substitute for calling straight-run plays. The San Diego defense ranks fifth against the run, but only 20th against the pass after allowing Drew Brees to carve them up for 370 yards and four scores through the air, and simply has to be better against Manning this online sportsbook week.
NFL Betting Preview: Outlook & Pick
This will be the second road game in as many weeks for Manning and the Broncos, but heading in to their bye week they simply cannot afford to go down two games in the AFC West this early on. San Diego has been very inconsistent once again to start this year, and couldn’t put away New Orleans despite several chances to do so. This should be a close game either way, and a field goal for either team could decide it.
