Tips For Betting On Jaguars Raiders – Raiders Ready For Must-Win Game Against The Jaguars
The Oakland Raiders nearly shocked the sports betting world with a near-win over the undefeated Atlanta Falcons last Sunday, only to come up short in a 23-20 loss. Instead, consecutive losses to the Denver Broncos and Falcons on either side of their bye week has pushed the Raiders to three games below .500, a half-game ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs for the worst record in the AFC West. Next up for Oakland is a crucial home game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, and although the upcoming schedule is relatively manageable going forward, this is definitely a must-win game for the black and silver.

NFL Betting Line: Oakland Raiders – 4
The Jaguars enter this game with an identical record, but with much less enthusiasm following a blowout loss to the Chicago Bears before their bye week. Jacksonville has struggled in a variety of areas on both sides of the ball, and with so much work to do before it can contend for a playoff spot, this team’s success will be measured by progress.
NFL Betting Preview: Jacksonville Jaguars
That is certainly what the team is expecting from second-year quarterback Blaine Gabbert, who has thrown for just 796 yards and five touchdowns through five games, but has also been intercepted three times and fumbled twice. Gabbert has yet to top the 200-yard mark in any game so far this season, but there will be no excuse if he comes up short again this week against an awful Raiders’ secondary and with an extra week to prepare. Running back Maurice Jones-Drew certainly hasn’t been the same after an extended holdout in the offseason, and the Jaguars could certainly use a spark from him. With the offense struggling a relatively mediocre defense has been left exposed, particularly on the ground where Jacksonville has fielded the 30th ranked run defense.
NFL Betting Preview: Oakland Raiders
Whether or not Oakland has the personnel to exploit those deficiencies stopping the run will be among the keys to this game, as despite one of the premier running backs in the game, the Raiders have been forced to rely on the short passing game and using Darren McFadden on swing plays out of the backfield. McFadden is averaging just 3.2 yards per carry on the ground this season, so it looks as though this offense will only go as far as quarterback Carson Palmer can take it. The Oakland defense came up big last week against Atlanta with three first-half interceptions, but overall have had too many holes in the secondary. A similar effort this online sportsbook week will go a long way in helping the Raiders’ chances, and there will be a sense of urgency across the sidelines.
NFL Betting Preview: Outlook & Pick
Despite their record, the Raiders haven’t been playing all that bad in recent weeks, and they will have the home field advantage against one of the worst teams in the AFC. The Jaguars have struggled to put up points the same way that they have struggled to keep them off the board, and that could lead to major personnel changes in the near future. Look for Oakland to bounce back in a must-win game, as the look to climb their way back to .500 over the next three weeks.
