Tips For Betting On NFL Football – Which NFL Coaches Should Be Fired Immediately?

Posted by Tony Bryant on 12/3/2012 5:47:08 PM

When people in the online sports betting legal realm contemplate the coaches who should be fired at the end of an NFL season – it is the dreary and grim month of December, after all – a few names leap immediately off the printed page.
The world of high-stakes football poker games in a billion-dollar industry simply cannot allow for mediocrity. Worse, it cannot convey the notion that a collapse in team morale is even remotely acceptable. When a coach loses his team, the housecleaning must take place.

Even football betting gurus who focus more on the college game can appreciate the need to express a no-nonsense mentality to an organization. Firing a coach for an underperforming team sends a message to the players that their own performances carry considerable consequences. Where must teams start in the attempt to reshape their destinies?

The Cleveland Browns should be a natural place to start in terms of firing a coach. Pat Shurmur has just not given much of any indication that he's cut out for the job. The Browns have languished under his tenure, and a two-game winning streak late in a lost season should not be sufficient cause to keep him on board for 2013. Cleveland is gaining new front-office personnel, as Joe Banner – the former architect of the Philadelphia Eagles – comes aboard to remake the team. It's a natural transition point and a time for the Browns to get the man they want – and need – on the sideline. Cleveland has to land a big name, someone with substantial credibility in a locker room with players, if it wants to take the next step. The Browns have begun to assemble some decent pieces on the field, but they need the coach who can put things together.

In Kansas City, it's true that the Chiefs rallied for an emotional victory over Carolina this past Sunday, one day after the team was rocked by the suicide of one of its players. However, that brief display of quality against a bad Carolina team should not change the equation in Kansas City. The Chiefs ownership needs to fire general manager Scott Pioli and head coach Romeo Crennel, who have both presided over a noticeable loss of morale and have not created the kind of environment in which players thrive. The Chiefs need to start from scratch with a new front office, a new plan for the future… and a new head coach who can perform better than Crennel, who has looked downright lost at several points in this 2012 season, a season in which the Chiefs were genuinely (and realistically) expected to contend for the AFC West championship.

The other coach who simply has to go is Norv Turner of the San Diego Chargers. The Bolts have way too much talent to be 4-8. The franchise is a laughingstock at the moment. San Diego used to be a Super Bowl threat under Turner, and now it's a team that can't even produce winning records with any remote degree of regularity.
