Tips For Betting On Saints Cowboys – Cowboys Host Saints With Major Playoff Implications On The Line
The Dallas Cowboys always seem to be in the sports betting spotlight for the wrong reasons. Say what you want about this year’s team, but the Cowboys are right there in a three-way tie for the NFC East lead with two games to go. Dallas has won three-straight games and five of its last six to climb in to a tie with the Washington Redskins and defending Super Bowl champion New York Giants atop the division, but still have to finish strong to reach the postseason beginning with this week’s contest against the New Orleans Saints.

NFL Betting Line: Dallas Cowboys – 3
A three-game losing streak ended the Saints’ chances of completely turning around their season following a slow start, but they did bounce back strong with a 41-0 shutout win over the rival Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week. New Orleans looked good as a spoiler last Sunday, and will look to thrive in that role again this week.
NFL Betting Preview: New Orleans Saints
No Saints’ player had a better performance last week than Brees, who threw for 307 yards and four touchdowns without a turnover. Brees needs to be at his best in order for New Orleans to have a chance, and it will also be important for him not to turn over the ball. The Saints compiled 447 yards of total offense in last week’s win, with Mark Ingram rushing for a game-high 90 yards on 6.4 per carry with a score, providing the necessary threat to keep the opposing defense off balance. The New Orleans defense also came up big with its first shutout in 17 years, and will look to build on that performance.
NFL Betting Preview: Dallas Cowboys
For all of the negative press this Cowboys’ team has received, they are right there in the thick of the playoff race with a legitimate playoff shot. Tony Romo has led the league’s third-ranked passing offense with 3,928 rushing yards and 20 touchdowns, including 341 yards and two scores in last week’s win. A balanced attack is among the keys to moving down the field efficiently, as running back DeMarco Murray rushed for 81 yards and a score in last Sunday’s win. Cornerback Brandon Carr intercepted Ben Roethlisberger and returned it to the Pittsburgh Steelers’ one-yard line to set up the game-winning field goal last week, and the defense will be fighting for turnovers once again against the Saints.
NFL Betting Preview: Outlook & Pick
The NFC East race couldn’t be closer, with three teams tied for the division lead and two online sportsbook games to play. Dallas has worked hard to get in to that mix with just one loss in its last six weeks, and as long as they continue to move the ball efficiently without turning it over on offense they should be able to give themselves a chance to move one step closer to clinching a playoff spot.
