NFL Football Betting: Week 3 Preview:
It is only week three and already some “good” teams are in big trouble. Let’s make a quick list of some of the teams that are off to 0-2 starts (or at least some who we thought were playoff bound). That would include Baltimore, Seattle, Indianapolis, and Philadelphia. Not all of them are featured in the below but it is kind of now or never time for those teams. 0-2 might be recoverable but 0-3 can seal up your season before the leaves change colours. It can also have you home with your family by Christmas
Further, as you go through this piece you will notice a distinct theme. In case you missed it, it is at the bottom.
Cincinnati Bengals vs. Baltimore Ravens
The Bengals have quickly emerged as the favourite in the AFC North while the Ravens are in big, big trouble. They have lost their defensive leader and are entering the contest in that dreaded desperation mode. They are capable of turning things around but I love the balance of the Bengals right now. Take Cincinnati.
Pittsburgh Steelers vs. St. Louis Rams
I love the offense of the Steelers now that Le’Veon Bell is back from suspension. A little more wallop in the run game is going to balance them that much more and I think St. Louis proved last week they just cannot be trusted to perform when they are supposed to. The Steelers are surging off a big win. Take Pittsburgh.
Buffalo Bills vs. Miami Dolphins
The Bills are not going to have a dream season but I still think this team is destined to break their streak of seasons missing the playoffs. Look for that potential to be on display against the Dolphins who are going to have a lot of trouble getting anything done on offense. This one might be the lowest scoring game of the weekend. Take the Bills.
Denver Broncos vs. Detroit Lions
The Broncos might not have the best version of Peyton Manning but he is still pretty good. However, I don’t like this spot for them on the road. Detroit is a home underdog and is in danger of seeing their season slip away too. They have the defensive talent to make it difficult for Manning and to put points on the board against a good defense. Take Detroit.
Kansas City Chiefs vs. Green Bay Packers
The Packers are rolling after beating the Seahawks last week. This is not a perfect team but they are definitely going to go to 3-0 after playing the Chiefs on Monday Night. The Chiefs are a solid team but won’t have enough offense to stay in the game against one of the best attacks. Take Green Bay.
Theme: Road Underdogs...They are an easy group to fade but I love this group this week.
