Online betting players will have a busy Saturday on their hands when it comes to NHL betting odds as there is a full slate of games to deal with, and there’s at least one on Sunday that you should keep an eye on if you’re going to take a break from your NFL betting odds. Here is a look at five NHL betting options to check out this weekend.

Senators Bruins Betting – Saturday, 7:00 PM ET

The Bruins should be favored at home in Boston in this clash of Northeast Division rivals, but the Bruins have struggled at home, going 2-3-1 at TD Banknorth Garden, while the Senators are a decent 3-3-1 on the road. The Bruins have won three of their last five meetings ATS against the Senators in Boston, and three of those games have gone over the posted total. Both teams have Friday off and are coming off losses at home, so expect them to come out with some energy.

Avalanche Red Wings Betting – Saturday, 7:00 PM ET

It’s not the rivalry that it used to be, but it’s always a good time when Detroit and Colorado get together. The Red Wings will definitely be the NHL betting favorite in this matchup as they’re a fantastic 6-1-1- at Joe Louis Arena so far this season, but Colorado won’t be a pushover with a 4-2-1 mark away from home. Colorado has also been excellent in Detroit, going 4-1 in their last five trips to “Hockeytown”, and all four of those wins have come by a goal. The last four meetings between these two in Detroit have gone over the posted total in your online sportsbook.

Capitals Sabres Betting – Saturday, 7:00 PM ET

The Capitals will likely be the NHL betting favorites on the road for this game, as Buffalo goalie Ryan Miller will probably still be out of the lineup, leaving Jhonas Enroth between the pipes for the Sabres. The Capitals are 3-2 in their last five trips to Buffalo, and four of the five games have gone over the posted total. The Capitals are only 4-3-0 on the road, but Buffalo is 0-6-1 at home and the Capitals roll into this game on a six-game winning streak.

Flames Sharks Betting – Saturday, 10:00 PM ET

San Jose will be the NHL betting favorites in this contest as they get a bit of a break: Calgary will play on Friday night in Phoenix while the Sharks get a day off after beating the Islanders on Thursday. The Sharks are 3-2 in their last five home games against Calgary, including a 9-1 demolition last year, but they’re only 4-2-2 at home this season, while the Flames are 3-3-0 away from the Saddledome. Neither team has been consistent this year, so this is going to be a tough NHL betting matchup to call.

Ducks Blackhawks Betting – Sunday, 7:00 PM ET

The defending Stanley Cup champions from Chicago should be favored at home in this contest, but they’ve been brutal at the United Center this year with a 4-7-0 record. Anaheim hasn’t been any better on the road, going 3-6-0 away from home, and they may be worth a darkhorse bet because the Blackhawks play in Nashville on Friday night, while they have a day off to travel. The Blackhawks have won four of their last five meetings with the Ducks in Chicago, and three of the five games have gone under the posted total, so take a look at it in your sports betting book.
