Another million will be on the line in the Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Sprint at the demanding distance of 7 furlongs and the field seems evenly matched for online sports bettors to evaluate.

Back in the sports betting online day, distaffers competed and sometimes won vs. boys in the Sprint but now they have their own division to fight it out tooth and nail.

Turbulent Descent will be one tough customer if she makes it to the starting gate, which at this point looks like a no brainer. Trained by the red-hot Mike Puype, this miss took the Grade 1 Test at Saratoga in August with a 103 Beyer. It was her third Grade 1 victory of the year and she had a legit excuse of the mud in the Acorn in her June effort.

One of the most impressive things about Turbulent this year is the Beyer progression as she kicked off the year with a wide second and an 87 Beyer, and has improved on that figure in every subsequent race. One more move forward and the rest better have their Breeder’s Cup betting running shoes on.

Tanda will have to prove she can handle conventional dirt but she has been coming around quickly. She won her third career Grade 3 race at Del Mar in August and is in the hands of one of the best trainers on the West Coast, Mike Mitchell, who has pointed her for this race for months.

Switch, a closing third when wide in her last in a Grade 2 at Keeneland, was runner up in this race last year but was in a cut back situation in 2010.

She has been expertly managed and after the perfect prep last time, players should know she won in a second off the layoff situation last year.

Only serious sportsbooks runners are in the money in 9 of 11 starts and that is the resume for Pomeroys Pistol, who beat older horses in a recent start. Her first off effort came in her stakes debut and she was hooked wide the other time she failed to run in the money.
This soph fired in the Test but could not get to the winner in time but then flattered Turbulent Descent by winning the Grade 2 Gallant Bloom drawing away with a career best 98 Beyer.

If a player is looking to take a chance on romance, Musical Romance is the vehicle. This gal is battle tested, is a proven Graded winner, has earned over $500,000 this year and will benefit from a pace that is contested and hot.

For those looking for a live longshot, fans should glance at Tamarind Hall, a reformed claimer who broke her maiden for a tag and has really turned the corner.

She has a penchant for finding the wire, has won 7 of her last 18 starts, is proven at 7 furlongs and has been extremely consistent. Best news is the price figures to be right.

Selections will be published as soon as they draw the Cup.
