The Triple Crown journey has run its course and even with the outburst and then apology of California Chrome’s co-owner Steve Coburn, online sports betting site players can look forward to what is next on the agenda of this year’s crop of sophomores.

As expected California Chrome will get some deserved R and R. He flew back to California at the beginning of this week and will be treated for the injuries he sustained in the Belmont Stakes.

He has not had a break in racing since his debut over a year ago she he can take the time to heal the cut on his right front leg and the gash on the back of his right front hoof.

CC will have the feet problem taken care of, and then he’ll be sent to the pasture for the next several weeks with a fall campaign waiting and a date in the Breeders’ Cup likely if all goes according to plan.

Despite not getting the best of trips in the Belmont Stakes CC was beaten just about 2 lengths.

As for the Belmont Stakes winner Tonalist, he is still relatively fresh and that should be a major plus moving forward.

Things would have been much different if Tonalist didn’t have his own foot issues. Once he missed the Wood, he was out of consideration for the Kentucky Derby and the master plan was the Peter Pan and the Belmont and that worked out pretty good.

The late great Josephine Baker said ‘we all wake up at different times’ and Tonalist fits that bill for sure.

He was immature early in the year both physically and mentally and his connections know they have not reach his bottom yet. He has plenty of potential to still fulfill.

Tonalist came out of the Belmont in good shape and will be pointed for the major stakes later in the year including the Travers atSaratoga. Trainer Christophe Clement knows what to do with a good horse even though this was his first Triple Crown victory.

Don’t expect Tonalist to shorten up much in his future as he seems more comfortable going 8 furlongs or farther.

The Belmont second Commissioner ran super in defeat. It’s not easy to towrope runners in the Belmont but he almost pulled it off. After a slight freshening, expect Commissioner to be pointed for a re-matched with Tonalist in the Travers.

The Jim Dandy would be a natural prep for that race as well as the Haskell at Monmouth Park.

The Belmont third Medal Count never lost the confidence of his trainer Dale Romans. He didn’t have the best of trips early in his career and would not be shocked if he is pointed to the $1 million Pacific Classic at Del Mar in late August.

Online sports betting site players don’t have to just sit on their hands now, as there will be plenty of opportunities for good betting situations down the line.

Stay sharp and good luck.
